Children

Children are part of our family and our services at St Stephen’s. Children aged 3-12 are welcome to join Sunday School, except on the first Sunday of the month when we have a Family Communion service and the children all stay in church.

Sunday School
Classes meet during the regular Sunday Service during school terms (except the first Sunday of each month). Within the classes, we introduce children to Christianity and its key figures, through fun activities: stories, role play, songs and debate.
Older children are encouraged to volunteer for different tasks especially in the Family Service, reading, welcoming, taking the offertory, and serving at the altar.
Children who are baptized are welcome to receive Holy Communion, according to the policy of the Anglican Church of Hong Kong. Each year we run a course to prepare children aged around 7 to receive communion.

Playgroup
St Stephen’s hosts a popular Parents and Toddlers group that meets on Monday and Thursday from 9.15am to 11.15am. The group supports parents and provides a stimulating, nurturing and caring place for children up to 3 years old. The session comprises of indoor play, outdoor play, arts and crafts activities, snack time and song time. Members of the group are warmly invited to join us for Family Services at 9.30 on the first Sunday of each month.  Please contact ststephensplaygroup@gmail.com
